MEPs give go-ahead for ratification of economic partnership agreement with Nairobi

25/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – The EU-Kenya Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) is one step closer to coming into force. On Wednesday 24 January, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade approved the conclusion of the Agreement. The EU and Kenya formally signed the partnership in December 2023 (see EUROPE B13316A22). This ratification decision must still be voted on at the plenary session. (LM)
