Thirteenth WTO Conference and EU’s strategic autonomy on agenda of informal meeting of trade ministers

The EU’s twenty-seven trade ministers are due to meet again on Tuesday 23 January for an informal meeting in Brussels, the first under the Belgian Presidency of the Council. The main focus of the meeting will be the next ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organization (WTO), to be held in Abu Dhabi from 26 to 29 February.

There will also be a discussion of the Union’s strategic autonomy, a subject close to the Commission’s heart, and the current state of the Union’s trade...
