The Belgian finance minister, Vincent Van Peteghem, stressed the importance of reaching a “rapid” agreement with the representatives of the European Parliament on the reform of the Stability and Growth Pact on Monday 22 January, during a presentation of the priorities of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union to the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.
