In view of the seriousness of the situation in Sudan, where fighting is continuing between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces and their affiliated militias, the EU Council decided without debate on Monday 22 January to impose sanctions on six entities that are jeopardising the country’s stability and political transition.
