09/01/24 (Agence Europe) – Belgium’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hadja Lahbib, confirmed to a group of journalists on Tuesday 9 January that the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council will continue to focus on the Rule of law and work on Article 7 of the Treaty, with two “important” hearings on the situation in Hungary and Poland scheduled for 25 June in Luxembourg at a General Affairs Council. On 29 January, the Belgian Presidency will also conduct the traditional annual dialogue on the Rule of law, examining the situation in five Member States.
