European Commission authorises €450 million French aid scheme to modernise forestry sector

04/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 4 January, the European Commission announced that it had authorised a French aid scheme of €450 million to promote the development of the forestry sector while improving forests’ capacity to adapt to climate change. The measure will be open to all private and public companies active in the forestry sector. The aid will reach eligible companies in the form of direct grants.
