In derogation of ‘e-Privacy’ directive, a European Commission report demonstrates effectiveness of voluntary reporting against online child sexual abuse

On Tuesday 19 December, the European Commission presented an evaluation report on the application of the provisional derogation from the ‘e-Privacy’ directive. This text authorises online companies to process personal data, exclusively to combat the sexual abuse of children on the internet.
