20/12/23 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 19 December, ACER submitted recommendations to the European Commission to amend the network codes on requirements for grid connection of generators (RfG Regulation) and on demand connection (DC Regulation). The amendments aim to make the regulations more ‘future-proof’ by incorporating the latest developments in the electricity and transport sectors. ACER’s main recommendations include updating the definitions, broadening the scope to include new technologies such as electric vehicles and electricity storage, and introducing criteria for significant modernisation of electricity generation modules. The European Commission will now examine these recommendations before adopting the final versions of the network codes. To see ACER’s recommendations: https://aeur.eu/f/a6w (PLD)
