European Commission publishes new rules to reduce energy consumption of household tumble dryers

22/11/23 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 22 November, the European Commission published new rules on ecodesign and energy labelling, with the aim of reducing the energy consumption of household tumble dryers and making them easier to repair. A revised energy label will apply from 1 July 2025, transforming the A+++ to D range into an A to G range, with the A class applying only to the most efficient products.
