European Commission imposes fine of €26.6 million on Rabobank for colluding with Deutsche Bank on Euro-denominated bonds

On Wednesday 22 November, the European Commission announced that it had imposed a fine of €26.6 million on Rabobank for participating in a cartel with Deutsche Bank between 2006 and 2016 on the trading of Euro-denominated SSA bonds (or Supra-Sovereign, Foreign Sovereign, Sub-Sovereign/Agency bonds) and government guaranteed bonds traded in the European Economic Area (EEA).

The Commission informed Deutsche Bank and Rabobank of its objections on 6 December 2022 (see EUROPE B13078A7).
