Brussels, 29/09/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 29 September, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called for the creation of a transatlantic quantum community. They say the community is “essential to promoting closer collaboration among public, private and academic sectors, and accelerating responsible innovation in quantum and quantum-enabled technologies”. “This is key for our security and to ensure we stay one step ahead, now and in the future”, they explained in a joint statement adopted at the launch of the ‘Deep Tech Lab - Quantum’ in Copenhagen. Mr Stoltenberg announced that by the end of the year, the Alliance would have its own quantum strategy “to ensure our Alliance is quantum ready, able to integrate the right technologies into our capabilities and to protect against the adversarial use”.
