EU27 will advocate an EU/CELAC partnership based on “shared values”

On Thursday 29 June, the leaders of the countries of the European Union will discuss the renewal of relations with their Latin American counterparts ahead of the EU/CELAC summit to be held in Brussels on 17 and 18 July (see EUROPE B13196A15).

This summit will be an opportunity to strengthen a partnership based on “shared values, history and culture” and should be the starting point for a “regular” bi-regional dialogue, according to the draft conclusions that the European Council...
