On Wednesday 28 June, the European Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture decided (34 in favour, 7 against) to object to the European Commission’s delegated act concerning the production rules applicable to organic sea salt.
It believes that the restrictions on advanced mining technologies are “too strict, given their environmental benefits”.
