EU-27 authorise negotiation of agreements on raw materials with Uganda, Rwanda and Zambia

On Wednesday 28 June, the Member States’ permanent representatives to the EU gave the green light for the Commission to negotiate memorandums of understanding on critical raw materials with Uganda, Rwanda and Zambia. 

The Commission has recently signed several of these memorandums of understanding, with Argentina, Canada, Namibia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine respectively, and plans to sign one with Chile in the near future.
