30/05/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 14 June, at the next plenary session of the European Parliament, MEPs will vote on the report on the proposal for a regulation on artificial intelligence (see EUROPE 13180/1). A debate on the subject will have taken place the day before. The text, put forward by Dragoș Tudorache (Renew Europe, Romanian) and Brando Benifei (S&D, Italian), was adopted on 11 May by the European Parliament’s Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) and its Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), after many months of difficult internal negotiations (see EUROPE 13179/2). The final text on which the MEPs will vote has also been published. It can be consulted here: https://aeur.eu/f/74f (TM)
