MEPs renew calls to improve annual reports on rule of law in Member States

On Thursday 30 March, MEPs adopted by a show of hands their report assessing the Commission’s work on its 2022 annual report on the state of the rule of law in the Member States (see EUROPE B13116A18).

Presented annually since 2020, this report assesses the situation of judicial independence, media independence, anti-corruption arsenal and the balance of checks and balances in each Member State.
