02/03/23 (Agence Europe) – The European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s (EIT) ninth Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) “Culture & Creativity” has signed the “Start-Up Grant Agreement”, or “SUGA” consortium. SUGA is composed of 29 organisations, and in 2024, it will operationalise the KIC “Culture & Creativity”, which aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the cultural and creative sectors and industries. It will be managed by the German research institute Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. The consortium will have a budget of up to €6 million. It will work between 1 October 2022 and 31 December 2023. SUGA will set up new legal entities and governance structures, implement initiatives to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the KIC and develop its strategic agenda until 2027.
