28/02/23 (Agence Europe) – The Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) on Monday 27 February presented an analysis of the national strategic plans implementing the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) presented by Germany, Spain and Poland. According to this organisation, these strategic plans lack ambition in their responses to environmental and climate issues. According to IEEP, the Spanish plan is notable for its lack of budget for environmental objectives, while most of the aid in the Polish plan is not sufficiently conditional on the implementation of sustainable agricultural practices. In the case of Germany, the stated ambitions for biodiversity protection are not matched by adequate funding. The French plan was evaluated on 1 February (https://aeur.eu/f/5ji ).
