On Tuesday 28 February, the European Commission launched two calls for proposals to help Ukrainian entrepreneurs and businesses benefit from the single market. With a total budget of €7.5 million, both calls have been funded by the Single Market Programme.
The first call will provide financial support to Ukrainian SMEs that have been affected by the war. They will be able to benefit from “coupons” to access services and to participate in trade fairs in the EU. The objective is to provide logistical and financial support to these SMEs in their search for European partners. This call for proposals has a budget of €4.5 million.
The second call is part of the “Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs – Ukraine” programme and should allow up to 430 Ukrainian entrepreneurs to take part in a professional exchange in a European country complete with financial support for their daily and travel expenses. This call for proposals has a budget of €3 million.
