European Commission proposes new macrofinancial assistance of €145 million to Moldova

The European Commission on Tuesday 24 January proposed to provide Moldova with a further macrofinancial assistance of €145 million, of which €45 million in grants and €100 million in soft loans.

This assistance, which will bring the European Union’s macrofinancial assistance to the country to a total of €295 million (see EUROPE B12918A16), will help Moldova to honour its financial commitments and support the Moldovan economy, which has been badly affected by Russian...
