Netherlands offers to host specialised court in The Hague for crime of aggression in Ukraine

On Monday 12 December, the Netherlands announced that it supports the creation of a specialised court to investigate the crime of aggression in Ukraine. They also proposed to establish it in The Hague. Member State leaders do not yet have a clear position on this issue. They had asked the European Commission to work on this issue in October.

The European Commission therefore made proposals on 30 November and put forward two possible solutions for a specialised court (see EUROPE B13074A3)....
