09/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 9 November, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg announced the dates of the Vilnius Summit, which will be held on 11 and 12 July 2023 in the Lithuanian capital. “The meeting in Vilnius will be an opportunity for Allied Heads of State and Government to agree further steps to strengthen our deterrence and defence and review significant increases in defence spending, as well as to continue our support for Ukraine”, Mr Stoltenberg said in a statement. He added that Lithuania, as host to a multinational battlegroup, was helping to provide strong deterrence and defence for the whole Alliance and was a “vital ally”. (CG)
