09/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 9 November, the European External Action Service (EEAS) launched the WomEn DIplomats Network (‘WEDIN EU’), a network of women diplomats from EU Member States, including leaders of networks of ministries for foreign affairs, and the EEAS. According to an EEAS press release, the participants will exchange best practices in facilitating the careers of women diplomats and discuss the important role of women in diplomacy and, more broadly, the promotion of gender equality worldwide. With the official launch of this network, EU Member States and the EEAS commit to promoting the EU’s values of diversity and equality and to supporting gender equality in their work in the rest of the world, the EEAS said.
