08/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 8 November, the Council of the EU adopted without debate the three legislative acts on the new four-year Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the EU and the Republic of Mauritius (see EUROPE 13058/28). The current protocol has been extended for six months while this agreement is concluded (see EUROPE 13023/4). The new protocol provides for fishing opportunities for 40 tuna seiners and 45 surface longliners. The annual financial contribution paid by the EU to Mauritius amounts to €725,000. (LC)
