10/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – The Council of the European Union decided to apply a reciprocal measure to that adopted by the Ortega regime in early October, declaring that the Nicaraguan ambassador to the EU would be considered persona non grata (see EUROPE 13034/31). The EU considers the Nicaraguan government’s decision “unjustified”, it said in a statement. It called for “a real dialogue” between the Ortega regime and the opposition to find a political solution to the crisis that is shaking the country. (MB)
