19/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced, on Saturday 17 September in Leiden, the European City of Science 2022, the results of the 33rd edition of the ‘EU Contest for Young Scientists’ (EUCYS) and the first edition of the ‘EU TalentOn’ competition. The EUCYS took place from 13 to 18 September. It is aimed at 14-20 year olds studying technology, engineering and mathematics. The six first-prize projects will receive a prize of €7,000. The new ‘EU TalentOn’ competition is aimed at young scientists aged 15-35 who propose solutions to societal problems related to the themes of the five new European missions (climate change, cancer, ocean, city and soil).
