18/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 18 July, the Council of the EU renewed without amendment the so-called ‘EU terrorist list’, which sets out persons, groups and entities subject to restrictive measures for their links with terrorism. Currently, 13 individuals and 21 groups and entities are on the list. Their assets are frozen in the EU and EU operators are prohibited from making funds and economic resources available to them. This list, established following the attacks on 11 September 2001, is distinct from the EU regime implementing UN Security Council resolutions targeting Al Qaeda and ISIL/Da’esh and from the EU’s autonomous measures towards these two organisations.
