Green light for €155 million Dutch scheme for fishery sector in context of Brexit

18/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 18 July, the European Commission approved Dutch aid of €155 million to support the fisheries sector whose activities are suffering from the effects of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. The objective is to encourage vessel owners to cease their fishing activities by scrapping their vessels. The scheme will run until 31 December 2023.
