19/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 19 May, the European Commission published the results of its public consultation on the future review of the Web Accessibility Directive. Most respondents noted that access to public sector websites and mobile applications has improved over the past 3 three years. However, some of them pointed out that there are still problems and barriers to accessing certain online services, particularly navigation, research about a website and text-based forms such as contact forms. Since 23 June 2021, Member States are required to make public sector websites and mobile applications accessible to people with disabilities and older people.
