EEAS proposes €20 million in assistance from European Peace Facility to support Rwandan armed forces

The European External Action Service (EEAS) proposed, in a document dated 3 May obtained by EUROPE, €20 million in assistance to the Rwandan armed forces under the European Peace Facility.

This proposal responds to a request made on 6 December 2021 by Rwanda to the EU to support the deployment of Rwandan forces in the insurgency-ridden province of Cabo Delgado in Mozambique.
