31/03/2022 (Agence Europe) – The spokesperson for the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, Barend Leyts, announced on his Twitter account on Wednesday evening that Mr Michel will welcome Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Brussels on 6 April. According to a European source, “the leaders will take stock of developments since their last meeting”, virtually, on 4 February 2022 (see EUROPE 12884/22). They will also discuss ways to build a “secure, stable and prosperous” South Caucasus for the “benefit of all people living in the region, with a particular focus on connectivity issues”, the source added.
