02/03/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 1 March 2022, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published the results of the annual transparency calculations for shares and similar securities, which will apply as of 1 April 2022. These calculations form part of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), which regulates investment products and services in order to protect investors and the integrity of financial markets. However, ESMA has pointed out that due to technical issues and the quality of the data reported for the liquidity assessment, it could not validate the transparency calculations for some shares. However, the impact is limited and ESMA intends to complete this publication on 8 April 2022 in relation to a maximum number of 250 shares. To view the calculations: https://aeur.eu/f/ky (AD)
