Covid-19: EU Member States lift ‘emergency brake’ for Southern African countries

10/01/2022 (Agence Europe) – The French Presidency of the EU Council has announced on Twitter that at a meeting of the IPCR crisis group on Monday 10 January, the European Union Member States agreed to lift the ‘emergency brake’ that they had put in place on 26 November on flights from southern Africa when the Omicron variant (see EUROPE B12841A20) appeared. This decision allows the return of air travel between the EU and the 7 countries affected by the 26 November decision....
