Commission extends consultation period on inclusion of fossil gas and nuclear in EU taxonomy

The European Commission’s chief spokesman, Eric Mamer, confirmed, on Monday 10 January, that the institution was extending by one week the consultation on its draft delegated act to include fossil gas and nuclear energy in the EU taxonomy.

Originally set for 12 January, the closing date for the consultation is now 21 January.

The aim is to give more time to the ‘Platform on Sustainable Finance’, a stakeholder group that advises the Commission on taxonomy.
