Reform of Stability Pact, Paris hopes to reach a common framework for reflection by end of February

The French Finance Minister, Bruno Le Maire, indicated on Monday 10 January that his country wishes to bring together the positions of all EU Member States on the reform of the European economic governance framework in order to develop “a common framework for reflection” at an informal ministerial meeting at the end of February.

These discussions are part of the reflection on the future of European fiscal rules that the European Commission relaunched last October (see EUROPE B12815A5)....
