18/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – Leaders of rail infrastructure companies met in Brussels on Wednesday 17 November to discuss upcoming revisions to the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and European rail freight corridors. The leaders also discussed seamless international rail passenger transport and identified some procedures that could enable such operations. “We see the forthcoming legislative proposals on the ‘green mobility’ package as an opportunity for rail to offer even greater reliability and quality to customers and to provide interoperable and pragmatic solutions”, said Community of European Railways Executive Director Alberto Mazzola. In addition, the participants of this meeting also recalled the crucial role of digitalisation in improving performance and competitiveness. (TM)
