On Thursday, 18 November, the European Commission published an implementing regulation imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of Indian and Indonesian stainless steel cold-rolled flat products. It had already imposed provisional duties on these products in May 2021.
The conclusions of the provisional regulation indicating that these imports cause injury to EU companies were confirmed.
The definitive duties vary from 10.2% to 20.2% for Indonesia and from 13.9% to 35.3% for India. According to the European Commission, these tariffs will help protect more than 13,500 direct EU jobs in the steel coil sector.
