Madrid to request payment of first instalment of financial assistance under Spanish recovery plan

Brussels, 09/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – Upon arriving at the Eurogroup meeting in Brussels on Monday, 8 November, Spain’s finance minister Nadia Calviño indicated that, in the next few days, her country would be the first to submit an official request to the European Commission for the payment of the first instalment of EU financial assistance equivalent to “ten billion euros” under the Next Generation EU recovery plan.
