05/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – A public consultation launched by the European Commission at the end of October is open online until 23 November on a draft delegated regulation to update the work programme for the systematic risk assessment of all active substances contained in biocidal products. This programme runs until the end of 2024. The Commission’s draft regulation concerns active substances that were already on the market on 14 May 2000. In particular, this initiative will remove certain active substance/product type combinations that are no longer approved. The adoption of the delegated regulation will take place before the end of 2021 to amend the list of combinations (Annex II, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1062/2014).
