21/09/2021 (Agence Europe) – On 21 September, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the Union of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Morocco - EuroCham Morocco and BusinessEurope - adopted a “modernisation pact on trade and investment between the EU and the Kingdom of Morocco”. They propose a renewed framework for trade relations between the two parties, based on 8 pillars: investment, reduction of non-tariff barriers, services and transport, mutual recognition of qualifications, customs procedures, SMEs, business climate, and trade in agricultural products. “It is important to inject a new dynamic into this relationship, to benefit together from the opportunities that arise, particularly for supply chains, especially in agri-food, as well as for our sustainability and digital priorities”, said CGEM Chairman Chakib Alj.
