02/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 2 July, the European Commission announced the launch of an improved and updated version of the European ‘De-risking Energy Efficiency Platform’ (DEEP) This database, known as DEEP 2.0, tracks and evaluates the performance of energy efficiency investments, to provide tangible evidence of the risks and benefits of such investments. It includes over 17,000 energy efficiency projects from 30 suppliers. Among other things, the new platform provides users with a more powerful tool with which to assess existing or future energy efficiency investments, as well as new data fields for alignment with the new EU taxonomy.
