20/05/2021 (Agence Europe) – In the article ‘European Parliament does not close the door on low-carbon hydrogen’ we reported that, according to our information, the Greens/EFA and The Left had voted largely against the report on the EU hydrogen strategy. However, the details of the vote, published after our deadline, revealed that the vast majority of The Left MEPs actually abstained, as did the majority of Conservatives (ECR). The report was therefore supported by the entire EPP, a large majority of the S&D, the majority of Renew Europe members (about 30 abstained), non-attached members and a handful of MEPs from the ID and ECR groups. Opposed were the Greens/EFA, the majority of the ID group and some MEPs from The Left, S&D, Renew Europe and ECR groups. See voting details: https://bit.ly/3ytb0eQ (DG)
