09/09/2020 (Agence Europe) – According to the latest version of the list of items on the agenda for the forthcoming meetings of the College of the European Commission, dated Wednesday 9 September, the European Commission intends to present its plan for ensuring a “fair” minimum wage in the EU on Wednesday 28 October. The second phase of social partner consultations ended on Friday 4 September. Trade unions are in favour of a directive (see EUROPE 12553/22), while employers’ associations prefer a non-binding approach, in line with the EU Council’s recommendations (see EUROPE 12555/28). (PH)
