European Commission consults on list of geographical indications identified by Jakarta

10/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has opened a public consultation regarding a second list of geographical indications (GIs) submitted by the Government of Indonesia. At the end of the EU/Indonesia negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, these GIs could be protected within the European Union. Among the products listed are numerous varieties of coffee, spices and rice. Declarations of opposition to these GIs must reach the European Commission...
