08/11/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission opened a public consultation on Thursday 7 November on European rules for reporting incidents in civil aviation. This consultation is in line with the Commission’s intention to adopt a proposal that will assess the effectiveness, efficiency, relevance and consistency of the rules for the notification, analysis and monitoring of civil aviation accidents and incidents, as well as their added value. The consultation period is open until 30 January 2020 and the Commission is expected to adopt the proposal in the third quarter of 2020. (DG)
