Supervision of Central Counterparties established in EU is satisfactory, according to ESMA

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) ruled on Monday 22 July that the supervision of Central Counterparties (CCPs) established in the EU by the National Competent Authorities (NCAs) was satisfactory.

As part of its annual peer review report, ESMA invited the national competent authorities of the 12 Member States (Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom) in which the 16 authorised CCPs are distributed...
