14/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – The UK negotiator for Brexit, Olly Robbins, is in Brussels on this 14-15 May to discuss with his European counterparts possible changes to the political declaration on future EU-UK relations, once Brexit is implemented. He was first scheduled to start his meetings at the EU Council and then, on 15 May, at the Commission, where he will meet the team of negotiator Michel Barnier, confirmed on 14 May Margaritis Schinas, the Commission's spokesperson. The declaration so far only concerns a free trade agreement, but perhaps more ambitious, has consistently called on the EU, in reference to a customs union or even participation in the single market. This is the objective of the ongoing talks between Ms May and Jeremy Corbyn's Labour, which have not yet been concluded. (SP)
