Many fish stocks remain overexploited, says EU Scientific Committee

The Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries (STECF) estimated in a report made public on Thursday 11 April that “many [fish] stocks” remain overexploited or outside safe biological limits. 40% of stocks are reported to be overfished in the Atlantic and more than 80% in the Mediterranean.
