28/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The selection process for the future seat of the European Labour Authority (ELA) indicated, as a first criterion, the need to allocate the future seat to one of the Member States that joined the European Union after 2004, without explicitly specifying that it should be allocated to a Member State that does not already have a European entity based within its territory. In this sense, Latvia fulfils the first criterion of the selection process, even though the Member State already has the Office of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC). We have therefore made a correction to our article dated 27 February (see EUROPE 12203). (PH)
