21/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European private sector has invested €219.5 million in space, according to a study published on Monday 18 February by the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), an institute created by the Council of the European Space Agency (ESA). "A record", the institute is pleased to note, however, that investment in start-ups is 4 to 8 times lower than in the United States. This ratio is said to be in line with the size of the European market and shows a positive orientation of the EU in the development of the European space commercial sector. The search for new customers and securing sales, raising capital and managing cash flow are the main challenges for start-ups in the sector. Finally, the United Kingdom is reportedly the best in terms of private sector development in the space sector. To consult the full study: https://bit.ly/2ElTajE (PH)
